Danilo Giannini was born in 1960 and brought up in Florence, Italy. His interest in photography started at the age of 12, and at 15 he already had a custom photography lab. After several years of experimentation he undertook a one-year course at the American Florence-based Fortman Studio.
During the 80s his skills as a photographer were put into full use by working with photogrammetric and clinical eye photography.
He came to Sweden with his Swedish wife in October 14, 1992 (exactly 500 years after Columbus discovered America).
In Uppsala he started his own photo and graphic design studio, holding several photo exhibitions, and participated in art projects with a combination of poetry, music, photography and painting.
When he moved to Småland (Eksjö) in 1999, he paused his activities as photographer to produce short films.
Danilo has lived in Jönkoping since 2002, exhibiting his artworks on various occasions, finally returning to his role as artistic photographer in 2012.
Danilo is currently co-founder with Eugenia Berti Lindblad of the visual arts  "Eclissi9 Manifesto” which, since 2015, is working on the new ideal stage in art photo, filmmaking and poetry.
